All of our caverns and gold mines are located in beautiful countryside. You can hike our nature trails while learning about the local flora and fauna at Black Chasm Cavern, California Cavern and Moaning Cavern. In addition, we have picnic tables set up outisde our visitor centers and you are welcome to bring meals , hang out and enjoy the scenery.

Pan for gold, mine gemstones, crack a geode

Outdoor activities that are very popular with our visitors include gemstone mining, gold panning and geode cracking. These additional activities mean you can easily spend half a day at each of our locations combining underground with above ground activities. New at Moaning Cavern are the thrilling twin zip lines.
