CAVE PEARLS

HOW DO THEY FORM?

Much like pearls in oysters, cave pearls are formed by calcite deposits over grains of sand or dirt in cave pools.

WHERE ARE THEY FOUND?

Cave pearls can be found in any cavern pools, but they are very uncommon.

HOW ARE THEY IDENTIFIED?

Cave pearls look very much like oyster pearls. They can vary in size considerably, and in color according to the minerals present.
