Our favorite, place to stay near Boyden Cavern is Cedar Grove at the Canyon View, Moraine, Sentinel or Sheep Creek campgrounds. If you prefer more luxurious surroundings, check out the John Muir Lodge in Grants Grove (about 15 miles from the cave. Hume Lake Christian Camp is also nearby - and has a fantastic events and activities program for kids & families. You can also stay at the friendly Montecito Sequoia Lodge, which is an excellent place for families to stay with a private pool, tennis courts large cafeteria and breathtaking views.

Love caves? See Crystal Cave (season differs from Boyden, be sure to check their website) - purchase tickets at the Foothills or Lodgepole visitor centers in Sequoia National Park - about half an hour from the cave entrance.

Hiking enthusiasts should check out Kevin Gong's Hiking Page which not only describes hikes giving elevation and mileage information, but also gives tips on staying healthy & safe while hiking the wilderness and is full of his breathtaking photography!
